CEC declines to comment on Laloo Prasad's demand

Chennai: Chief Election Commissioner (CEC) T S Krishnamurthy today (May8, 2005) declined to comment on the demand of Union Railway Minister and Rashtriya Janata Dal (RJD) leader Laloo Prasad that election commissioners B B Tandon and N Gopalaswamy should resign for acting in a 'partisan manner to countermand election' from Chapra during the last Lok Sabha polls.

Talking to reporters at the airport in Chennai, he said that he had no comments to make now. 'You will get official communication later', he added.
