INTUC advocates constitution of new wage board
Wednesday, May 11 2005 16:42 Hrs (IST) - World Time -

Patna: Indian National Trade Union Congress (INTUC) president G Sanjeeva Reddy today (May 11, 2005) advocated the constitution of a new wage board for working journalists and non-journalists and said it would put pressure on the Centre for it.

INTUC would ensure that the new wage board was constituted within two months and the pressure by it on the government would be mounted after the ongoing parliament session, he told newsmen in Patna.

''We are sure that the Manmohan Singh Government will definitely constitute a new wage board at the request of INTUC,'' he said.

Implementation of the recommendations was more important and INTUC would also ensure that it was done within six months of the submission of the wage board report, Reddy added.
