Mayawati threatens to review support to UPA Govt
Wednesday, May 11 2005 22:29 Hrs (IST) - World Time -

Lucknow: Bahujan Samaj Party (BSP) supremo Mayawati today (May 11, 2005) threatened to review outside support to the UPA (United Progressive Alliance) Government at the Centre if Congress failed to stop alleged discrimination against her by CBI which questioned her in Taj Heritage Corridor case.

Addressing a press conference in Lucknow, she said "my party may even reconsider its outside support to the UPA Government if the Congress failed to take notice of the treatment being meted out to her (by CBI) and did something in this regard."

Mayawati accused CBI of adopting "double standards" and demanded the agency probe the "disproportionate" assets of national parties' presidents and their relatives.
