Our territory won't be used for terrorism: B'desh

New Delhi: Bangladesh has assured India that its territory will not be used for terrorist activities, Minister of State for External Affairs E Ahamed told Rajya Sabha today (May 12, 2005).

"We have been assured at the highest level that Bangladesh does not want its territory to be used for terrorism," Ahamed said in a written reply.

Issues of infiltration and illegal migration have been discussed with the Government of Bangladesh frequently at political and official levels, he said adding the position of Dhaka is that there is no illegal migration from Bangladesh to India.

Information relating to camps of Indian insurgent groups in Bangladesh has been shared on several occasions, Ahamed said.
