2 killed, 46 injured in grenade blast in Srinagar

Srinagar: Striking in a big way for the second consecutive day, militants today (May 12, 2005) hurled a grenade outside a school at the busy Lal Chowk in Srinagar today killing two women and injuring 46 people, including 11 students.

The blast took place at 14:45 hours (IST) when the students of the elite Biscoe school and its girls' wing, Mallinson school, were leaving the premises and their parents had come to collect them, official sources said.
