Kolkata: Lok Sabha Speaker Somnath Chatterjee today (May 14, 2005) said that he was happy that the United Progressive Alliance (UPA) Government had tabled the Phukan Commission report, which probed the Tehelka expose into fictitious defence deals in the Lok Sabha, but declined to comment on it.

''As the Speaker, I had directed the Government to table the Phukan Commission report and I am happy that they did it,'' Chatterjee told reporters Kolkata.

To a question, the Speaker said ''I don't know what is there in the report.''
