NDA is 'Nagnath' & UPA 'Saapnath' says Mayawati
Sunday, May 15 2005 16:04 Hrs (IST) - World Time -

New Delhi: Infuriated over her questioning by CBI in a disproportionate assets case, BSP (Bahujan Samajwadi Party) chief Mayawati today (May 15, 2005) lashed out at both the ruling UPA (United Progressive Alliance) and the Opposition NDA (National Democratic Alliance).

"There is no difference between the NDA and the UPA. Both are manuwadi coalitions," she told reporters in New Delhi.

"NDA is nagnath (King cobra), while the UPA is the saapnath (snake)," she said.

"The only difference is that if a cobra bites, a person dies instantly. But if you are bitten by a snake you die a slow death," Mayawati said.
