Shibu Soren invites Babulal Marandi to join JMM
Monday, May 16 2005 15:49 Hrs (IST) - World Time -

Dhanbad: The Jharkhand Mukti Morcha's (JMM) door was open for BJP (Bharatiya Janata Party) National Vice-President, Babulal Marandi, if he quit his party over resentment on the appointment of the new BJP State president in Jharkhand, according to JMM chief Shibu Soren.

Spotlight: Elections 2005

Soren, who sympathised with Marandi's resentment over the appointment of Yadunath Pandey as State president of BJP, said in Dhanbad last night (May 15, 2005) that JMM was closely watching developments in the BJP on the issue.

Soren, however, refused to send any feeler to Marandi, a former Jharkhand Chief Minister, to join the JMM.

Earlier Marandi had threatened that he would go to any extent if his demand for reconsideration of the appointment of Pandey was ignored. Soren claimed that since the Arjun Munda Government had been formed by 'horse-trading' it would not last long.
