Girl from Kerala wins SAARC letter-writing event

Thiruvananthapuram: Aswathy Gopalakrishnan, a 10th standard student from Ernakulam district, has won the first prize in the 19th SAARC (South Asian Association for Regional Cooperation) level letter-writing competition held recently.

Aswathy's entry had been adjudged the best, bringing her 10,000 Pakistan Rupees, a Pakistan post stamp album and certificate, an official release said in Thiruvananthapuram today (May 16, 2005).

Aswathy is a student of Jawahar Navodaya Vidyalaya, Neriyamangalam in Eranakulam district.
