Manmohan Singh to be PM for full term, says Sonia
Tuesday, May 17 2005 21:37 Hrs (IST) - World Time -

New Delhi: Congress president Sonia Gandhi today (May 17, 2005) ruled out her reconsidering the decision to give up the post of Prime Minister and said Manmohan Singh would head the UPA Government for his full five-year term.

"Why should I reconsider the decision? There is a Prime Minister who is a man of integrity and doing exceedingly well. There is no question of reconsidering the decision (to renounce the top post)," Gandhi told reporters in reply to a specific question.

She also made it clear that UPA (United Progressive Alliance) Government is here for five years and Singh would continue to lead the Government.
