When contacted, Gujarat Government officials acknowledged receiving the Review Committee's report but refused to divulge any details.

"The report has to be produced before the competent court and till then nothing can be revealed", a State Home department official said.

The State Government has booked 109 persons under POTA of which around 89 are in custody in connection with the train carnage case where 59 Kar sevaks were killed.

Among those arrested in this case include a Godhra-based cleric Maulana Hussain Umarji, who is allegedly the mastermind of the train carnage.

The Review Committee has so far sent its recommendations in five POTA cases of Gujarat wherein it has recommended the removal of POTA on 14 of the 93 accused persons in those five cases.
