Paswan has lost the game in Bihar: Laloo Prasad Sunday, May 22 2005 08:48 Hrs (IST) - World Time -
New Delhi:
RJD (Rashtriya Janata Dal) chief Laloo Prasad yesterday night (May 21, 2005) said his detractor Ramvilas Paswan had "lost the game" in Bihar and his Lok Janashakti Party (LJP) was finally going to split which would be sad for the UPA (United Progressive Alliance), particularly the RJD.
Ridiculing the various proposals of Paswan to form Government in Bihar, where February Assembly polls resulted in a hung house, Prasad said, "People are not foolish, you cannot cheat the people. Everybody knows what type of formula you are giving everyday ... everyday formula ... formula."
"He (Paswan) has lost the game in Bihar," Prasad told NDTV.
He said he was watching every electronic media report, news coming from Jamshedpur and Patna.
"His party is going to split ... it is very sad for the UPA, particularly me," the RJD chief said.
In Ranchi, Jharkhand LJP leader had claimed that nearly a dozen LJP MLAs were "holding talks" with JDU (Janata Dal United) at a resort in Jamshedpur.
In Delhi, Paswan hinted at RJD and NDA (National Democratic Alliance) attempts to lure away LJP MLAs and said moves to split his party would not
succeed.
"I am not going to comment on Paswan's remarks," Prasad said.
