Bihar LJP MLAs leave for an undisclosed destination Sunday, May 22 2005 11:23 Hrs (IST) - World Time -
Ranchi:
Around a dozen legislators of Bihar LJP (Lok Janshakti Party) who camped at two resorts near Jamshedpur since Friday (May 20, 2005)
today ( May 22, 2005) checked out to an undisclosed destination, according to reliable sources in Ranchi.
They said the LJP MLAs and some other leaders boarded two buses after checking out '10th Milestone' and 'Hill View Resort', 14 km from Jamshedpur.
Yesterday (May 21, 2005) Jharkhand LJP leader Uday Shankar Ojha claimed at least a dozen LJP MLAs were "holding talks" with JDU (Janata Dal United) leaders at a resort in Jamshedpur "under state protection".
A senior JDU leader said on condition of anonymity that his party did not have any role to play at the moment and was adopting a "wait and watch approach".
He said that the role of his party as also the BJP (Bharatiya Janata Party)-led
NDA (National Democratic Alliance) would become relevant only after a substantial number of LJP MLAs turned defiant and caused a split in that party.
