Samajwadi party to support Nitish in Govt formation

Patna: The Bihar unit of Samajwadi party today (May 22, 2005) announced that the party would support Nitish Kumar in his bid to form a Government in Bihar.

The State Samajwadi party president, Deonath Yadav told reporters in Patna that his party legislators would support Kumar in his endeavour to form a popular Government in Bihar.

He said the decision regarding joining the new Government would be taken later but the party believed in maintaining equi-distance from the RJD (Rashtriya Janata Dal) and the BJP (Bharatiya Janata Party).
