Laloo threatens to file FIR against 'horse trading' Monday, May 23 2005 09:52 Hrs (IST) - World Time -
New Delhi:
Rashtriya Janata Dal (RJD) president and Railway Minister Laloo Prasad (May 22, 2005) threatened to file an FIR against "horse trading" and "wrongful confinement" of MLAs in Bihar.
"I will file FIR against the horse trading and wrongful confinement of legislators in Bihar," he told reporters in New Delhi after a function at the Prime Minister's residence to mark the first year of United Progressive Alliance (UPA) in power.
Laloo said just as cattle were sold and purchased at the Sonepur cattle fair in Bihar, MLAs were being bought.
He, however, remained non-committal on the issue of Government formation in Bihar when asked whether his party would stake claim.
Lok Janashakti Party (LJP) chief and Laloo's Cabinet colleague, Ram Vilas Paswan, who was also present at the function, however declined to comment.
