Clinton to visit Tsunami affected areas on May 27

Chennai: Former US President Bill Clinton will visit the Tsunami affected areas of Tamil Nadu on May 27.

Clinton is visiting these areas as the UN Special Envoy for Tsunami recovery, an official press release said in Chennai today (May 24, 2005).

Arriving at Chennai from New Delhi at 1300 hrs (IST) on that day, Clinton would leave by helicopter for Nagapattinam, one of the worst tsunami-hit areas, where he would visit a temporary shelter, set up for tsunami affected persons, besides having discussions with the district officials on the relief work.

Coming back to Chennai the same day, he would interact with the media before leaving for Colombo.
