Lok Janshakti Party (LJP) president Ram Vilas Paswan yesterday (May 23, 2005) expelled seven party leaders including former MP Nagmani and the chief of dissolved Bihar unit Narendra Singh from the primary membership of the party for six years.
A party release said that they had been expelled on charges of indulging in anti-party activities.
The remaining leaders expelled were Munna Shukla, Anil Kumar, Abhay Kumar Singh, Ajit Kumar and Suchitra Singh, all rebel MLAs in the dissolved Assembly, according to party's national general secretary S N Singh, who also heads the three-member Disciplinary Action Committee of LJP.
Earlier, Paswan told reporters that all the rebel MLAs who favoured an NDA (National Democratic Alliance) Government led by Nitish Kumar would be expelled from the party.
