Mumbai: The funeral of Union Sports and Youth Affairs Minister Sunil Dutt, who passed away this morning (May 25, 2005), will be held in the evening at Shastrinagar crematoriom in suburban Santacruz.

The funeral procession will start from Dutt's residence at Pali hill in suburban Bandra at 17:00 hrs (IST), president of North Mumbai District Congress Committee Kamruddin Merchant said.

Meanwhile, a steady stream of people including Bollywood personalities and politicians, were pouring in at the Dutt residence to pay respects to the departed leader.

Among those who arrived at the Dutt residence were actress Bipasha Basu, actor Gulshan Grover, director-producers Boney Kapoor and Mahesh Bhatt and former Maharashtra Minister Nawab Malik.

Dutt's funeral would be attended by Prime Minister Manmohan Singh, Congress President Sonia Gandhi and senior party leaders and Union Ministers.
