The Union Minister said he did his best to save Bihar going to elections, but ideology compelled him to keep himself away from all the opportunists parties.

"I stand by ideology of secularism. Even after elections I will try to host a Muslim Chief Minister. This is possible because of the support by Muslims and Yadavs which comprise 35 to 36 per cent of votes in Bihar," the Minister said.

He said there is no question of influencing dissolution of Bihar Assembly, as Governor was convinced of horse-trading.

On the issue of separate statehood for Telangana, LJP president said his party favoured creation of smaller States for better governance.

Earlier, addressing a meeting of Muslims and Dalits Paswan said, "It was his biggest blunder to join NDA (National Democratic Alliance)".
