JK: At least 15 persons hurt in blast in Anantnag

Srinagar: At least 15 people, including six Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF) personnel, were today (May 28, 2005) injured in a powerful explosion triggered by militants on the Khanabal-Pahalagam road in Anantnag district, a senior police official said.

The blast was caused by an Improvised Explosive Device (IED) planted by militants inside a Maruti car, which was parked near the General Post Office on the main road leading to holy cave shrine of Amarnath, Deputy Inspector General of Police, South Kashmir Sheikh Owais Ahmad told.
