Shillong: A slight intensity earthquake having its magnitude 4.1 in the Richter scale was experienced in Meghalaya and adjoining areas today (May 29, 2005) afternoon.

According to central seismological observatory in Shillong, the quake was experienced at 16:16 hrs (IST).

There was no immediate report of any casualty.
