BJP has no dearth of second-rung leaders: Vajpayee
Monday, May 30 2005 15:48 Hrs (IST) - World Time -

Manali: There is no dearth of second-rung leaders in BJP (Bharatiya Janata Party) and there is no competition among them, senior party leader and former Prime Minister Atal Bihari Vajpayee said in Manali today (May 30, 2005).

"There is no dearth of leaders in our party. Young leaders are coming up and there is no competition among them," he said replying to questions from reporters.

Vajpayee's remarks come in the wake of top RSS (Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh) leaders indicating that he and party President L K Advani make way for younger leadership to come up.

The top BJP leader is on his annual sojourn at this hill resort.
