Vajpayee welcomes improvement in the Indo-Pak ties
Monday, May 30 2005 16:22 Hrs (IST) - World Time -

Manali: Former Prime Minister Atal Bihari Vajpayee today (May 30, 2005) welcomed the marked improvement in relations with Pakistan and cautioned against use of arms for resolution of bilateral problems.

"Time is changing fast, our relations are improving and our mindset should also change," he told Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) workers of Kullu District at the circuit house in Manali.

"We want to tell Pakistan that the problem cannot be solved through arms and all issues including Kashmir can be solved by discussing them again and again," he said. "Our relations have improved so much that BJP President L.K. Advani is visiting Pakistan today (May 30, 2005) at their invitation and he will also emphasise that the problems cannot be solved by killing innocent people and it must stop," he said.

Vajpayee also cautioned the Union Government that improvement in relations with Pakistan should not mean that killing of innocent persons could continue and added, "It must stop."
