Living up to its motto 'touching the sky with glory', Indian Air Force today (May 30, 2005) put three climbers atop the world's tallest peak 8,848 metre high Mount Everest from the Tibetan north side.
Wing Commander R C Tripathi, Squadron Leader Chaitanya and Seargent N R Choudhary reached the summit between 05:15hrs (IST) and 06:30 hrs (IST), a satellite phone message from the expedition said.
The 19 member IAF team led might make some more attempts on the summit", the message said.
