Pakistan President Pervez Musharraf today (May 31, 2005) sought support of Leader of the Opposition L K Advani and his Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) in continuing the peace process with India.
Advani, who is on a weeklong visit to Pakistan, held talks with Musharraf in Islamabad lasting nearly an hour during which they reviewed the ongoing Indo-Pak peace process.
Musharraf warmly welcomed Advani, who was born in Hyderabad in Sindh province and studied in Karachi in St Patrick's High School where the Pakistan President had also received education.
They recollected their school days in Karachi, official sources said.
During the course of the talks, Musharraf sought Advani's as well as BJP's support for the ongoing peace process, they said.
