'Hurriyat leaders must be allowed to visit Pak'
Wednesday, June 1 2005 16:42 Hrs (IST) - World Time -

Islamabad: Insisting that the All Parties Hurriyat Conference must be a party to any decision taken on Kashmir, Pakistan today (Jun 1, 2005) said the Hurriyat leaders, who will travel to Pakistan-occupied-Kashmir tomorrow (Jun 2), should be allowed to visit Islamabad too.

Pakistan Foreign Minister Khurshid Mehmood Kasuri said the Hurriyat leaders should be allowed to talk to Pakistani leaders. "We have no objection if they (the Hurriyat leaders) want to travel to Delhi and hold talks with the Indian leadership," he said.

Spotlight: Kashmir is NOT negotiable

"For purposeful talks, you have to talk to all the parties concerned," Kasuri told NDTV in Islamabad.

"Even Indians do not deny that Hurriyat is an interested party. It stands to reason, therefore, that they should be allowed to meet with the leaders of Pakistan, the leaders of other side of Kashmir," he said.
