AP: Threat by maoists will be dealt by TRS supremo Friday, June 3 2005 08:14 Hrs (IST) - World Time -
Hyderabad:
Adopting a cautious approach, the Telangana Rashtra Samithi (TRS) yesterday (Jun 2, 2005) said party supremo K Chandrasekhar Rao would deal with the matter regarding the threat issued by maoists asking TRS to break their alliance with Congress in Andhra Pradesh and at the Centre.
"It is a sensitive matter and would be dealt by party supremo K Chandrasekhar Rao," TRS sources said.
The warning was issued by Communist Party of India (CPI-Maoist) polit bureau ember, Prakash on Wednesday (Jun 1, 2005), which said, "The TRS would be dealt with in a severe manner if the links with Congress were not snapped by June 15."
This is a final opportunity for the TRS to stop "deceiving" the people of Telangana by enjoying power in the State as well in the Centre, the release issued by CPI-Maoist said.
There are six TRS Ministers in Y S Rajasekhara Reddy Government, while Rao is Union Labour Minister and his deputy A Narendra is the Union Minister of State for Urban Development.
Prakash also flayed other political parties, including the Leftist for ignoring the Telangana region and supporting Congress in setting up of regional development boards.
The polit bureau member said maoists would not allow any political party to take advantage of the poverty of Telangana, while it is ready to support the party, which protects the interest of the region.
