Sonia and Kumaratunga discuss bilateral issues

New Delhi: United Progressive Alliance (UPA) chairperson Sonia Gandhi today (Jun 3, 2005) called on visiting Sri Lankan President Chandrika Kumaratunga in New Delhi and discussed various bilateral issues.

Kumaratunga, who is in New Delhi on a three-day visit, had yesterday held wide-ranging discussions with Prime Minister Manmohan Singh on a host of issues covering bilateral, regional and international issues of mutual interest.

Spotlight: Lanka Peace Process

Her visit is expected to cement friendly and close relations between the two countries.
