Advani meets Vice President Bhairon Singh Shekhawat

New Delhi: Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) president L K Advani today (Jun 9, 2005) called on Vice President Bhairon Singh Shekhawat and is understood to have discussed his recent visit to Pakistan and the subsequent developments that led to his resignation.

While official sources maintained that it was a "courtesy call", BJP sources said Advani is believed to have discussed with him the developments leading to his resignation.

Shekhawat, who was a BJP veteran, had been the Chief Minister of Rajasthan.
