Jammu: A Vaishno Devi pilgrim was arrested today (June 9, 2005) on the charge of molesting a teenage girl at Banganga on the way to the Himalayan cave shrine in Katra town of Jammu and Kashmir.

Identified as Anil Tomar of Haryana State, the pilgrim called the girl to his hotel room at Banganga this morning and allegedly tried to rape her, police said.

The girl raised an alarm and Tomar was caught and later handed over to the police, they said.

Police have filed a case of molestation against Tomar.
