Spl court allow vigilance bureau's petition on Jha

Patna: A special court yesterday (Jun 9, 2005) allowed a petition filed by the vigilance investigation bureau to take Santosh Kumar Jha, alleged kingpin of the multi-crore flood relief scam, on police remand for two days in another case relating to bungling in literacy projects in Katihar.

The designated vigilance Judge Jitendra Mohan Prasad allowed the bureau's plea for interrogating Jha in the instant case.

Jha is lodged in judicial custody in Beur jail in connection with a flood relief scam case and also the case relating to irregularities in execution of literacy projects in Katihar being probed by the bureau.
