Uma Bharti case hearing adjourned to Jun 23

Hubli: The Additional District and Session court in Hubli today (Jun 10, 2005) adjourned to June 23 the hearing on a revision petition filed challenging the dropping of criminal cases against BJP (Bharatiya Janata Party) leader Uma Bharti and eleven others.

The judge B Durgappa adjourned the case after hearing the arguments of the counsel for the petitioner, Gouri Lankesh, who opposed dropping of cases filed against Uma and others in connection with violence that took place on August 15, 1994 in Hubli.
