New Delhi: A considerable quantity of explosives have been seized at the Indira Gandhi International Airport (IGIA) in New Delhi and one person has been arrested in this connection.

The recoveries included two detonators, fuse wires and other explosive materials, police sources told PTI in New Delhi.

One person identified as Nanila of Alwar in Rajasthan has been arrested in this connection, they said. He was nabbed after the explosive items were detected in his baggage, the sources said.

A case has been registered under Explosives Act Section 4 and 5, the sources said.

Senior officials of CISF entrusted with the security of the sensitive airport, as well as Delhi Police virtually tried to hide facts of the case by refusing to give any details.
