Pataudi accomplice moves HC for anticipatory bail Monday, June 13 2005 14:01 Hrs (IST) - World Time -
Chandigarh:
An accused in the black buck hunting case involving former Indian Captain Mansur Ali Khan Pataudi and seven others today (Jun 13, 2005) approached the Punjab and Haryana High court in Chandigarh seeking anticipatory bail.
The Anticipatory bail application of Shashi Singh, who moved the High Court, was rejected last week by a lower court in Jhajjar, which had asked him to approach the designated environment court in Faridabad for bail.
Pataudi and seven others face arrest on charges of hunting an endangered black buck near a wildlife sanctuary near Jhajjar town in Haryana. If found guilty they face a jail term of seven years and a fine of Rs 25,000.
