Mumbai: A mild tremor was experienced near Mumbai today (Jun 14, 2005) meteorological office sources said in Mumbai. According to initial record, the tremor having a magnitude of 3.1 on the Richter scale was recorded at about 55 km from here, sources added.

People residing in suburban Vikhroli, Powai and in neighbouring Thane district, including Thane city and Kalyan felt the tremor, sources said.

However, no reports of any injury or casualty was reported from anywhere, police said.
