Godhra Comm warns Zaheera to answer properly Friday, June 17 2005 13:33 Hrs (IST) - World Time -
Ahmedabad:
The Godhra commission today (Jun 17, 2005) warned key witness in the Best Bakery case Zaheera Sheikh to answer properly the question put by the defence counsel failing which "stern" action could be taken against her.
The Nanavati-Shah Commission warned her that if she does not cooperate and reply to question, which are put to her then action could be taken against her under section 177 (furnishing false information) of the Indian Penal Code (IPC).
Zaheera, who had appeared before the Commission, earlier had given evasive replies to some questions posed by the defence counsel Mukul Sinha as a result her cross-examination had remained incomplete.
