Srinagar: Branding the moderate Hurriyat faction "agents of intelligence agencies", the four militant groups that opposed the Srinagar-Muzaffarabad bus service today (Jun 17, 2005) said they will not accept any formula the separatist leaders have brought from Pakistan for resolution of the Kashmir issue.

"Any solution these leaders have brought from Pakistan for resolution of the Kashmir issue will be hurled back..." a spokesman for Al Nasireen, Al Arifeen, Save Kashmir Movement and Farzandan-e-Millat said in a faxed statement in Srinagar.

"The only solution is jehad," he said.

The statement also attacked Hizbul Mujahideen chief Syed Salahuddin for meeting leaders of Hurriyat's Abbas group. "Salahuddin has displayed his ideological bankruptcy. He should make it clear which group of Hurriyat is the real political leadership," it said.

In another broadside on the Hurriyat moderates, the spokesman said the leaders had tried their best to get the militant outfits banned by President Pervez Musharraf during their visit to Pakistan and accused them of being agents of intelligence agencies.

"These people do not represent the sentiments of the people of Jammu and Kashmir, but are actually friends of Mufti Mohammad Sayeed (Chief Minister) and Farooq Abdullah (former CM)," he said.

It's message to hardline Hurriyat leader Syed Ali Shah Geelani was "not to repeat the mistake of unduly projecting opportunistic leaders" like Mirwaiz Umer Farooq, Abdul Gani Bhat, late Abdul Gani Lone, Yasin Malik and Mohammad Abbas Ansari in future.
