PM must view Vajpayee's letter very seriously: BJP Saturday, June 18 2005 13:28 Hrs (IST) - World Time -
Tirupati:
The Prime Minister Dr Manmohan Singh should view 'very seriously', the letter written by former Prime Minister, A B Vajpayee, expressing his concern and objections over the UPA (United Progressive Alliance) Government's latest peace process with Pakistan on the Kashmir issue, BJP (Bharatiya Janata Party) Vice President, Venkaiah Naidu said here today.
After offering worship at Lord Venkateswara temple at Tirumala, Naidu told reporters at the TTD guesthouse that it would not be possible to solve the Kashmir problem unless a serious action plan was taken by Pakistan President, Pervez Musharraf to contain cross border terrorism.
He opined that giving prominence to Hurriyat leaders on the Kashmir issue was 'not at all good' for the country.
To a question on the cabinet nod for facsimile editions of foreign newspapers published in India and permission to FIIs and other FFIs, including NRIs to invest in the print media, within the 26 per cent FDI cap, he said it would have to be first studied thoroughly, "As it is a very sensitive matter."
