Sunday, June 19 2005 13:14 Hrs (IST) - World Time -

Patna: After obtaining proclamation notices against the flood relief scam accused including former Patna district magistrate Gautam Goswami from the court, the State vigilance bureau has pasted the notice and photographs of Goswami and others at important public places in Patna and at their houses for people to provide clues about their whereabouts.

The notice and photographs of Goswami and others have been pasted at busy Dak Bungalow roundabout in the capital as well as at their houses for the convenience of the people to provide information about their whereabouts, additional director-general of police, Neelmani, told sources in Patna today (Jun 19, 2005).

The same has been pasted at Goswami's parental house in Dehri-on-Sone sub-division of Rohtas district as well as at his two houses in the state capital, Neelmani said.

Except for the kingpin of the scam Santosh Kumar Jha, eight others including Goswami against whom the designated vigilance court had on May 31 issued non bailable arrest warrants have gone underground to evade arrest. Jha is currently lodged in Beur jail here.

The State vigilance bureau has also announced a cash reward of Rs 25,000 each on the head of two absconding flood relief scam accused -- Amitabh Arun, computer operator in the office of the then DM Goswami and Devendra Kumar, additional district magistrate (ADM) of Patna.
