Rebel LJP MLAs will not create any problem: BJP Thursday, June 23 2005 20:27 Hrs (IST) - World Time -
Patna:
BJP (Bharatiya Janata Party) today (Jun 23, 2005) said the proposed defection of 21 rebel LJP (Lok Janshakti Party) MLAs in Bihar to JDU (Janata Dal United) will not pose any problem in seat sharing between the two NDA (National Democratic Alliance) partners in the coming assembly polls in the State as a formula has been arrived at on the matter.
''JDU leaders Sharad Yadav and Nitish Kumar and BJP general secretary Arun Jaitley besides myself have hammered out a solution on the matter at a meeting at Delhi two days back,'' Sushil Modi, State BJP president, said.
He, however, refused to share details of the formula. The rebel LJP MLAs of the dissolved assembly will join JDU here on July 7, the expelled LJP State party president Narendra Singh has said.
During the last polls held earlier this year, JDU had contested 138 seats leaving 105 for BJP in the 243-member assembly.
