Supreme Court Registrar to visit Vadodara on June 30

Vadodara: The Registrar cum Inquiry Officer of the Supreme Court will visit the city on June30 to record statements of former city Deputy Mayor and Nationalist Congress Party (NCP) Corporator Nisar Bapu in connection with the Best Bakery case.

Nisar Bapu said he believed that the visit of the registrar is in connection with certain allegations of Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) MLA Madhu Srivastav and Congress Corporator Chandrakant Srivastav.

The District Court of Vadodara asked Bapu as to where he would like to record his statement, that is, the District Court, Doctor's Hospital or his own residence.

Bapu said that he was asked to appear before the Supreme Court on June 18 in connection with the case but he failed to do so on health grounds. He said he had informed the court that he could not do so as he had developed ulcers. Bapu had sought six weeks time for recording his statements.
