Fodder scam: SC says no to orders on judge transfer
Monday, June 27 2005 11:48 Hrs (IST) - World Time -

New Delhi: The Supreme Court today (Jun 27, 2005) refused to pass any interim orders on a petition challenging the Patna High Court's decision to transfer the judge trying the fodder scam cases against accused persons, including Railways Minister Laloo Prasad.

A Vacation Bench comprising Justice D M Dharmadhikari and S H Kapadia directed listing of the petition, filed by Janata Dal United (JDU) MP Rajiv Ranjan Singh 'Lallan', on the reopening of the courts after the summer vacation.

The petition challenged the transfer of the CBI judge on the ground that it would further delay the trial to the benefit of the Rashtriya Janata Dal (RJD) supremo.
