Mid-term assembly polls eminent in Karnataka: BJP

Chennai: There could be a mid-term assembly polls in Karnataka as the differences between JD-S (Janata Dal-Secular) and the Congress was sharpening, BJP (Bharatiya Janata Party) Vice-President M Venkaiah Naidu, said today (Jun 28, 2005).

"Karnataka Government's days are numbered. Both the parties are not getting on well. There will be interesting developments in Karnataka in the next 2-3 days", he told reporters in Chennai.

He said, "While the Chief Minister Dharam Singh moved in one direction, the Deputy Chief Minister Siddaramaiah moved on another direction."

"This is a totally non-performing Government. The State is heading for a mid-term poll", he said.
