Duncan Andrew Grant, a British national, wanted in a child abuse case in Mumbai, today (Jun 29, 2005) informed a local court that he was expected to come in Mumbai from London and would surrender tomorrow (Jun 30, 2005).
He is facing the allegation of sexually abusing children of an orphanage here along with two other accused who have been arrested in this case.
Grant filed an application through his lawyer informing that he wished to surrender before the court in the alleged case of child abuse.
Grant's advocate Majid Memon told sources in Mumbai that the court took the application on record and asked the Colaba police to escort Grant from the airport on his arrival from London and produce him before the court tomorrow at 1100 hrs (IST).
Memon further said that Grant is currently in UK and started from London in a flight. He is expected to land midnight and would surrender before the court tomorrow.
Colaba police had registered a case against Grant and two others -- Allan Water and William D'souza in 2002. According to the allegations, the trio had sexually abused children of the orphanage located in South Mumbai.
