Work would commence from July and the project was expected to be completed by December 2006.
The additional cost a customer would pay for the solar power system would be between Rs 10 and 12 lakh. Without it the cost would have come to Rs 28 lakh each.
The housing complex would receive power from the West Bengal State Electricity Board and generation from the solar system would be transmitted to the grid.
