CBI today (July 1, 2005) arrested Amit Jogi, son of former Chhatisgarh Chief Minister Ajit Jogi, in connection with the murder of NCP (Nationalist Congress Party) treasurer Ram Avtar Jaggi.
Amit, who appeared before CBI in the afternoon, was questioned by the sleuths of the special crime unit of the agency about his alleged role in the murder of Jaggi, agency sources said.
The said the officials decided to place him under arrest after he allegedly failed to answer the questions properly.
CBI sources said, there was enough evidence against Amit and his custodial interrogation was required.
He will be produced before the court tomorrow (July 2, 2005), where the agency will take his custody.
