Three killed, four hurt in clash over land dispute
Saturday, July 2 2005 15:29 Hrs (IST) - World Time -

Gurgaon: At least three persons were killed in firing and four injured as two groups of people clashed in a village near Gurgaon in Haryana today (July 2, 2005).

The clash broke out this morning in Peepaka village when a group led by a person who had purchased a plot of land went to take its possession, police sources said.

The seller of the plot apparently was dilly-dallying in giving the possession which agitated the buyer, they said, adding as tempers ran high, some persons in his group opened fire resulting in the death of three persons and injuries to four.

Tension gripped the village after the incident and a large posse of police was rushed there, the sources said.

The situation was said to be in control.
