Cong confident TRS crisis in AP will be solved soon Monday, July 4 2005 20:24 Hrs (IST) - World Time -

Congress today (July 4, 2005) expressed confidence that crisis due to TRS (Telangana Rashtriya Samithi) pulling out of the Andhra Pradesh Government would be solved soon.
"Congress leadership at the highest level is already in touch with the TRS and its chief K Chandrasekhara Rao", party spokesman Anand Sharma told reporters adding that the party was aware of the resignations of five TRS ministers on the Pulichintala irrigation project issue.
He said Defence Minister Pranab Mukherjee, heading a UPA (United Progressive Alliance) sub-committee on the Telangana issue, has already spoken to Rao and AICC (All India Congress Committee) General Secretary Digvijay Singh, who in charge of party affairs in the State, is also in touch with the TRS leaders.
Talking separately, Digvijay Singh expressed surprise over the action of the TRS as the ministers had attended a Cabinet meeting just a few days back. He, however, expressed confidence that the matter would be resolved.
