Ayodhya attack: Police put on high alert in Delhi

New Delhi: Delhi Police was put on high alert today (July 5, 2005) in the wake of terror attack in Ayodhya with specific measures being taken at RSS (Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh) Headquarters and temples across the capital.

Spotlight: The Ayodhya crisis

Additional personnel have been mobilised across Delhi and patrolling by Police Control Room (PCR) vehicles has been intensified, police sources said.

Specific security measures were taken at RSS Headquarters and temples and police and security personnel deployed there have been put on maximum alert, they said.

The situation is being monitored by top officials of Delhi Police, the sources said.
