President Kalam deeply shocked at Ayodhya attack

New Delhi: President A P J Abdul Kalam today (July 5, 2005) expressed deep shock at the terrorist attack in Ayodhya and said terrorism in any form is to be condemned outright and the nation should stand as one in fighting such incidents.

Appealing the people to remain calm and maintain harmony and peace, the President expressed relief that the attempt was foiled by the quick operation launched by security personnel, S M Khan, spokesman of Rashtrapati Bhawan, said in a statement today.

He has also expressed his sympathies with those including security personnel who have suffered injuries during the attack this morning, he said.
